Our Lady Of Perpetual Help
Financial Condition
As Of June 30, 2016

To all our parishioners and guests:

Our Finance Council and I wanted to present to you our financial statement of condition as of June 30, 2016. As many of you know, we were faced with many challenges over the past 2 years. Our church needed some drastic repairs and our financial condition was seriously in doubt. However, I am happy to report that with YOUR tremendous generous support, the guidance of our Finance Council and our bookkeeper; we were able to restructure and reduce our ongoing expenses and to reorganize our tracking, reporting and monitoring financial systems.

I also wanted to share with you a list of the repairs that we were able to accomplish in the past 2 years:

  • Repair and repointing of the two towers of the church.

  • Repair and restructure of our front steps.

  • Painting of the Interior of the Church. The labor was donated by our Hispanic Community.

  • The front of the church has been landscaped and urns have been purchased.

  • New boiler has been purchased.

  • New furniture in the vestibule of the church.

  • All candles in the sanctuary including the Paschal Candle are now oil instead of wax.

  • All candle sticks and the tabernacle have been gilded.

  • New pew racks have been installed on the pews.

  • We purchased a new sanctuary lamp.

  • We purchased a new Christmas Creche.

  • The Reconciliation Room has been furnished.

  • The handicap ramp has been painted.

  • The Baptismal font has been repaired.

  • Sconces have been placed under each station of the cross.

  • The back wall of the church has been repaired

  • Replacement of the gutters on the church.

  • Repairing the small roofs of the church.

  • Installed a new sign in the front of the church.

Repairs In The Future:

  • Refurbish the stain glass windows

  • Resurface the parking lot

  • Purchase new carpets for the sanctuary

  • Repair the sidewalks around the church.

  • Paint the outside of the cottage

As you can see, we have been quite busy. We have spent $192,704 on these repairs and improvements. I am also happy to report that after 9 years, we have paid our annual assessment to the diocese for this past year.

Lastly, for the fiscal year 2014-2015 we lost $107,303 and for fiscal 2015-2016 we lost only $13,571. A difference of $93,504 due to increased revenues and reduced expenses. A shortened version of our Profit and Loss Statements comparing 2014-2015 to 2015-2016 is available to you upon request at the Rectory Office.

Thank you again for all your generous support.
Father Bart
